The purpose of Mount Vernon Baptist Church is to glorify God by submitting to the headship of the Lord Jesus Christ, exalting Him as Savior, proclaiming the truth of the inerrant Word of God as inspired by the Holy Spirit, equipping one another to serve Him in unity of spirit, and evangelizing the unbeliever both in our community and throughout the whole world.
Mount Vernon is a growing, Southern Baptist congregation located in beautiful Boone, North Carolina. We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the North Carolina Baptist State Convention and the Three Forks Baptist Association. We are a Global Priority Church through the ministry of the International Mission Board.
