It  has information on who we are, how to get involved, how to strengthen your personal walk with God, and details about all of the exciting ministries and opportunities in our fellowship.  Most of all, I hope you discover the joy we have through knowing and serving Jesus Christ together.
    Our church's purpose is simply to glorify God.  We want to help you do this in three simple steps: Loving, Learning and Living.  We believe all three of these are essential to a balanced, healthy Christian life.
    1. Loving – this is loving God and worshipping Him regularly with other Christians.  We have two worship services on Sunday morning (9:00 and 10:30) and occasional special services.
    2. Learning – all of us need to learn more about the Bible and apply it's truth to our lives. We offer many small group Bible studies to help you connect with people just like yourself who deal with every kind of need in life. 
    3. Living – life is exciting when we apply Biblical values through service and ministry.  There are literally hundreds of ways we can help you plug into your ideal place of service.

Who we are...
     Mount Vernon is a growing, Southern Baptist congregation located in beautiful Boone, North Carolina.  Our fellowship is made up of believers from many nationalities and a wide variety of backgrounds.  We are a Southern Baptist congregation who works in affiliation with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina and the Three Forks Baptist Association. 
     Our active members live in Watauga County and five surrounding counties.  They live in seven states since many have second homes in our area.  We have members serving in ten nations around the world. We are a body of Christian believers who are committed to believing and living the Bible.
