Loving God is worship and worship is loving God. The Mount Vernon church family believes worship is not optional. Every believer must experience worship on two levels – private and public. Private worship happens daily through our personal devotions or quite time. Public worship is an expression of our private devotional life and happens as believers gather each week on the "Lord’s Day" to sing together, pray together and hear God’s Word proclaimed together. Both require disciplines in our lifestyle. Both are essential to the spiritual health of each believer and to health of the church as the body of Christ. Both bring delight and vitality to life.
